Viking pirate ships

While the Greek and Roman pirates threatened ships sailing around southern Europe, the Vikings ruled the seas of northern Europe. The vikings pirates were ruthless villains of the north. They attack ships at sea as well as villages along the coast. The gained the reputation of "Barbarians"

Viking were expert shipbuilder. The ships that they used had to be strong so that they would not beark up in the rugged sea. Their ships were known like longboats.
